What the World Could Look Like

This age provides more opportunities than any before it. Technology is more developed than ever before. The spirit for positive change is unquenchable. There is a general awareness of what’s happening around the world, and a belief that whatever happens elsewhere in the world directly affects the lives of all of us. We live in an interconnected world with endless opportunities for all of humanity, if we who have much help those who have little. All over the world there are still people in need: There are people who have hopes, ambitions, and dreams that deserve the opportunity to make their visions real. And there are people who are yet to know the hope of Jesus, and all the ethics and wonderful standards he can offer to their communities, both now and in eternity. There is great work happening around the world, but much left to be done.

Right now, there are people from the developed world working alongside those in the developing world to meet their needs. However, the efforts themselves are disconnected. There are organizations meeting physical needs and there are those planting churches. There are those creating jobs and those fighting to end corruption. We need someone in the middle of community development efforts, focusing the attention around the desires of those being helped. We need an organization that will provide a way for the economic atmosphere to change entirely and sustainably.
We need people to take the idea of microloans and multiply them through a global, online marketplace. We need the ability to make every dollar we spend count towards changing the lives of others.
Jesus’ Economy is that organization in the middle. We desire to bring people together to transform entire communities, meeting basic needs and creating sustainable solutions to poverty and spiritual depravity.
Jesus’ Economy is here to provide you with the opportunity to act. We desire to work with you to create the jobs and churches for people living on $1.25 to $2.00 per day. We’re here to simultaneously meet physical and spiritual needs. We’re here to completely transform communities, by alleviating poverty in a sustainable way and ending corruption through churches, accountability, and biblical ethics training.
The world could look different—the interconnected world could look like people connecting their resources to the resources of others in need, to transform lives. We want you to join us in this effort: pray and act.
