Cuff earrings are all the rage for the young-at-hearts. They add that extra flash of interest to an otherwise boring upper-body ensemble. And they're made from all-recycled materials, to boot! Why waste your money on an overpriced piece of metal from your mall's jewelry store, when you could purchase this earring and help an artisan in need? Read Joseu's story below. The choice will become very clear.
In the village of Jubilee, on the outskirts of Gonaives, Haiti, the co-founder of 2nd Story Goods—a Gonaives based non-profit—met Joseu, who was making aluminum pots out of forms laid into the dusty ground. Into the side of each pot he inscribed the words "I love Jesus," proclaiming the courage Jesus gives him. Taking his story to heart, 2nd Story Goods asked him to create aluminum products that could be sold on the global market. He readily accepted, and thus, the cuff bracelet was born. Joseu (pictured here with his wife, Emanuella) and his team also hammered the aluminum for the Aluminum Teardrop Earrings.
