Flowers are a beautiful part of creation, and have long been used to tell stories, to uplift, and to adorn. A handmade, daisy clip or pin is perfect for dressing up or for dressing casually. You can either put this clip in your hair or pin it onto a bag or purse. But they aren’t only beautiful—they are also a way for families in Haiti to maintain sustainable incomes.
Anite, the head daisy maker, has three daughters and one young son with physical and mental disabilities. She adores her kids; you can see it in her eyes. She lost her husband in the terrible flood that hit Gonaives in 2008. Determined to keep her family together and her kids in school, she works hard and lives a generous, faith filled life—providing for her family through her craft.
