Handmade in Haiti with locally sourced burlap, this journal is what you need to express yourself. The cover is made from recycled coffee bags—each with a slightly different design. This journal is hand bound by artisan Benson Thermidor and his team. When you purchase this journal, you will be helping to provide jobs for Benson and his friends.
Artist Benson Thermidor lives in Jubilee, a village just outside of Gonaives, Haiti. He was binding songbooks, Bibles, and texts for friends when 2nd Story Goods, a local non-profit asked him to teach his skills to others in the village who needed work. Through this partnership, Benson's business has grown to include 25 other men and women and a full-sized workshop.
