John here, founder of Jesus' Economy. In Bihar, a man told me: "I was once an alcoholic and extremely violent." When I asked him what changed his behavior, he replied "Jesus." A church planter told him of Christ's sacrifice and grace; and through prayer, he found freedom. Another woman told me, "I used to feel useless and of no value; my life felt meaningless." She was disabled and local customs said her life lacked value. She learned of Jesus and found both spiritual and physical healing. These are some of the countless stories of the gospel renewing hearts in Bihar.
Partner with us to offer renewal through church planting.
Church planters explain to people how much God values them. They also teach people to live ethical lives, helping to alleviate the burdens of individuals and communities. Church planters are central to the Renew Bihar project because the gospel is central to transforming a community. Our current fundraising goal represents the amount needed to fund our four church planters for another year. This effort to plant churches is part of the Renew Bihar, India project.
There are still millions of unreached people in Bihar, India. To address this issue, Jesus’ Economy is funding four indigenous church planters to bring the gospel to unreached villages. Each planter will tell about 150 new people per month about Jesus—equaling 35,000 people hearing the good news of Jesus during the five to six years of funding. Each pastor will also plant house churches in five to seven villages. Provide people with spiritual opportunities and better communities by funding church creation.
100% of your giving goes to Bihar to support church planting.

The $226 per month cost of supporting an individual church planter includes the administrative costs our partner organization in Bihar incurs when facilitating church planting. Through our partner in Bihar, we offer church planters ongoing training, accountability, and the necessary infrastructure for their efforts.
The gospel is the primary piece missing from many poverty alleviation efforts. Healthy churches can alleviate corruption by providing ethical guidance to communities; as a result, job creation efforts are more stable. When you sponsor church planting, you're offering people the opportunity to have access to the gospel. And the gospel means renewal.
Thousands who formerly had never heard of Jesus now have access to the gospel. This is due to donors like you sponsoring indigenous church planters. The stories of hearts being renewed are incredible. Together we're bringing the gospel to the ends of the earth, as Jesus commanded.
