A Necklace that Represents Life Change

Each handmade angel necklace represents five jobs in the developing world.

The Story Behind the Product

For each angel necklace, an artisan finds the porcelain, cleans, and shapes it; another prepares the intricate wire pieces for wrapping. An additional artisan, from a sister cooperative, makes the recycled paper bead for the head of the angel. A final artisan builds the wings. Christella is the artist that puts all the pieces together and insures that everything is done well. Christella, who leads the creative team who makes these necklaces, is a “light” in Jubilee, Haiti. All who work with her say she has an infectious smile and a quick wit. A true artist, she takes great pride in each of her creations. Christella's colleague, Christianna, who finishes each piece, is pictured here.
